Symposium T

Emerging Applications for Membranes – Discovery, Translation and Deployment

Traditionally, the largest volume of membrane activities has been around the field of water. While water will always remain an important aspect of membrane technology, there are various critical upcoming fields, like carbon capture and utilization (including gas separations), pharmaceutical process intensification (including solvent separations), recovery of valuables from waste streams (including zero liquid discharge), to name a few, which have opened up the field significantly.

  • Carbon Capture;
  • Energy Storage;
  • Process Intensification;
  • Recovery of Valuable Process Materials;
  • Industrial Water Applications.
